1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Bolin website and services. By using the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms in full. If you do not accept the terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Bolin is an independent comparison and supplier-switching platform for the Italian free electricity market. Bolin is not an energy supplier but acts as an intermediary between the user and energy providers. Offer data is updated periodically based on publicly available information published by ARERA (the Italian Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment).

3. Free Service

The comparison and supplier-switching service offered by Bolin is completely free for end users. Bolin may receive compensation from energy suppliers upon activation of a contract through the platform. This compensation does not affect the objective comparison of offers, which is carried out exclusively on the basis of ARERA data.

4. User Obligations

By using the service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful and up-to-date information at the time of registration and use of the service.
• Upload only bills for which you are the account holder or are authorised to act on behalf of the holder.
• Not use the platform for unlawful purposes or in any way contrary to public policy.
• Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

5. Offer Accuracy and Limitations

Bolin endeavours to keep offer data up to date based on information published by ARERA. However:

• Energy prices are subject to market fluctuations and savings estimates are calculated based on average reference consumption (2,700 kWh/year for electricity).
• Bolin does not guarantee the availability of a specific offer at the time of an activation request.
• The final bill amount depends on regulated components (transport, system charges, taxes) that are identical for all suppliers and are not included in Bolin's estimates.
• Bolin is not liable for errors or delays in data communicated by suppliers or ARERA.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Bolin platform — including text, graphics, logos, software and analytical methodologies — is the exclusive property of Bolin or licensed to Bolin. Any reproduction, distribution or commercial use without written authorisation is prohibited. Energy offer data is sourced from ARERA's public dataset and is subject to the applicable licence.

7. Suspension and Account Closure

Bolin reserves the right to suspend or close a user's account, without notice, in the event of a breach of these terms, fraudulent use of the service, or conduct harmful to the platform or other users. Users may request the closure of their account at any time by contacting [email protected].

8. SaveGuard Guarantee

The SaveGuard Guarantee is a promotional initiative offered by Bolin to users who activate an energy supply contract through the platform. The guarantee operates under the following conditions:

• The guarantee applies exclusively to the first bill received after the supplier switch activated through Bolin is completed.
• The guarantee covers exclusively the case where the tariffs applied by the supplier on the bill differ from the tariffs communicated by Bolin to the user at the time of offer activation. In that case, Bolin refunds the resulting cost difference on the energy commodity component, proportional to the billing period.
• To request a refund, the user must send a copy of the first bill to [email protected] within 60 days of the bill's issue date.
• The refund request must include: a copy of the bill, the tax identification number of the contract holder, and the supply point code (POD/PDR).
• The maximum refund payable is €100 per supply point.
• The guarantee is valid once per user and per supply point (POD/PDR). It is non-transferable and cannot be combined with other active promotions.
• No refund will be issued where the cost difference is attributable to tariff plan changes chosen by the user, to actual consumption significantly above the average declared during the analysis, or to regulated components unrelated to the energy commodity.
• Bolin reserves the right to request additional documentation and carry out checks before processing any refund. In the event of false or fraudulent documentation, the guarantee is void and Bolin reserves the right to pursue legal action.
• Bolin reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the SaveGuard Guarantee for new users with 30 days' notice published on the website. Guarantees already accrued by active users will not be affected by any such amendment.

9. €30 Amazon Voucher Promotion

The €30 Amazon Voucher promotion is a limited-time initiative available to users who activate an eligible energy contract through Bolin. The promotion is subject to the following conditions:

• The voucher is issued only for offers on which the promotion is explicitly indicated at the time of activation. Bolin reserves the right to include or exclude offers from the promotion at any time.
• The voucher is available only to users who complete a supplier switch through Bolin and whose contract remains active and in good standing for at least 30 days from the supply activation date.
• The voucher will be sent to the email address registered on the user's Bolin account within 30 days of the conditions in the preceding point being met.
• The promotion is limited to one voucher per user and per tax identification number, regardless of the number of supply points or contracts activated.
• The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to third parties, or combined with other Bolin vouchers or promotions unless otherwise stated.
• Bolin is not responsible for malfunctions, restrictions or unavailability of the Amazon platform in connection with any issued voucher. Any technical issues relating to the voucher must be resolved directly with Amazon.
• In the event of fraudulent conduct, abuse of the promotion or breach of these terms, Bolin reserves the right to cancel the voucher, suspend the user's account and take appropriate legal action.
• The promotion may be suspended or terminated by Bolin at any time with 7 days' notice published on the website. Entitlement to vouchers already accrued by users who have met all conditions remains valid.
